1 Peter 5:7 King James Version (KJV)

Psalm 55:22 (KJV)

Proverbs 16:3 King James Version (KJV)

Philippians 4:6-7 New King James Version (NKJV)
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Matthew 11:28-30 King James Version (KJV)
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
From my experience, life has many challenges and it is easy to try and solve them all. If you’re a person anything like how I was, you have a motto. “If you want anything done right, do it yourself.” The problem with this motto is, you CAN’T do everything yourself. Another problem is, you are not always right. I was not made for that type of responsibility/weight. You were not made for that type of responsibility/weight. The scriptures speak over and over about giving things to God. Even Jesus himself told the disciples before he left in the cloud, he’s sending a Comforter.
Why in the world would Jesus call the Holy Spirit, The Comforter? Isn’t it obvious? Life has a lot of bad things going on in it. There are also difficult decisions that are going to have to be made on this fallen earth. Sin is still here on the earth. Not everyone has given their lives to Jesus Christ. The scriptures guarantee persecution and temptations. It is a guarantee, not a maybe or could be. No, it definitely will be persecution, temptation, pain and hurt.
Listen… Listen. It is so serious that Jesus told the disciples not to leave the upper room until the Comforter( Holy Spirit) comes. Yes, Jesus! (John 16)
Jesus tells us over and over and over and over, to throw all our cares on him. Why is it so hard to do so?
Well, let me tell you why it was so hard for me before. One reason it was hard for me before was trust. I did not trust God to take care of the problem. I know it sounds crazy. Not to add, I was also a believer of Jesus Christ with water baptism and infilling of Holy Spirit. I knew that God sent Jesus to save the world. That means God wants every person saved. So in my mind, I couldn’t trust him because he wouldn’t see my hurt and pain. All he wanted was everyone to be helped. When I was hurt, I didn’t care about everyone. I only cared if he would help me at that point. It sounds selfish. I know. But when you are struggling, you only see the struggle. I realized over time that God does care about every little detail in my life. Even the hairs on our heads are numbered. Really, yes really. Every single strand of hair has it’s own number. Not to get off topic, but I need God to replace some of those numbers.
Another reason I found it hard to unload all of my cares was patience. Yes, I had a tendency to have short term goals and wanted them met in the period of time I gave them. I wanted things solved there and then. News Flash! God does not work that way. If you have ever read the scriptures, in the bible; when have we ever seen Jesus run to do anything. You want to know the character of God, look at Jesus Christ. Lazarus, his FRIEND… died! What did Jesus do? (John 11). Jesus stayed where he was for two days. TWO DAYS! The man was DEAD and Jesus still didn’t get there until the fourth day. FOUR DAYS!!! How do you think I felt when I saw that? I was like, listen Jesus. I know you don’t run to do things but can there be an exception in my case. Nope, no exceptions in my case. What God did do is change the way I looked at it. He changed my perspective.
God let me see the end result of the “delay”. If you have had experiences with God before, you have probably unintentionally put God in a “box”. Meaning you and I have seen this or that thing done by God. We have become accustom to certain things. Guess what! God told me many years ago. I am going to “blow your mind.” What does that mean? It means. God is coming out of our little box and he is going to do something that we think is impossible. I’m getting excited all over again writing this post. We thought God didn’t hear us when we told him about all the stuff we had carrying around. We thought, God didn’t want that kind of baggage. We thought our baggage had to be dragged around; with fake smiles on our faces, while hurting inside.
God is setting us up. God is setting us up to “blow our minds”. God is setting us up, so he can see our “jaws drop”. We thought we knew God.
Every time I read about how King David praise, I’m like wow. I can’t wait to see your praise.
If you are carrying any heavy burdens/cares/baggage, LET IT GO!!!Give it to our Father (God). He wants them, ALL.
We don’t have to pretend anymore. Our bodies are tired. Time to cast our cares on him.
Are you Ready?
Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, I come to you with a lot on my mind. I can no longer carry these heavy burdens any more. I tried to fix them on my own and it did not work. I repent Lord, for not trusting you. I repent for not coming to you before. I am sorry I grieved your Holy Spirit, who you sent to comfort me and guide me. God I cast my cares on you now. God by faith, I release all the people who have hurt me. I forgive all of them by faith. I know I might not feel it now, but I still obey you and give everything to you. I ask you to forgive me of all my sins and trespasses, Lord. I thank you for hearing me, when I pray. I thank you for forgiving me. I thank you for taking all of these burdens away from me. I know your work is always on time, so I put my trust in you. I ask you to remind me every time I try to go back, to keep moving forward in you. I bless you God and worship you. I praise you now, in the mighty unmatchable name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior.
If you do not know Jesus Christ. You can get to know him. He is waiting for you. The scriptures declare to confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your hearts that God raised him from the dead and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
Pray this simple prayer. God I am confessing with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and I receive and believe You raised him from the dead. God come into my heart. I want you in every part of my life, Amen.
Also if you don’t have a bible, there are bibles online for you to read. There are many, many online. The e-sword is a good one.
