According to RealtyTrac, Florida has an average foreclosure rate of 0.08%, which is higher than the national average of 0.06%. Why?
Why does Florida foreclosure rate exceed national average? Could it be that we care more about money than about people? Could it be that we sell all our lands to foreign private investors who then take away the American dollar to other countries and exchange it , but yet the cost of living is driven up? Maybe, it is because we pay Floridians below livable wages!
The state of Florida has a population of approximately 18,511,620 with an average median income of $47,661 per year. The unemployment rate in Florida is 4.699%. This lower than the national unemployment rate of 4.8%.

Due to the disparity of income to living ratio; the percentage of vacant homes are 19.30%. Before you say that doesn’t look to bad, keep reading. Those vacant homes are only for the tri-county area( Miami Dade, Broward and West Palm Beach). There are 54,981 vacant homes as of February, or 2.8% of all homes for 2016, in the tri-county area.
With all those vacant homes, you would think homeless families who actually want homes would be so greater than the amount of vacant homes.
Is there too too many homeless families for the amount of vacant homes?
Wait homeless in Florida is 33,502 but we have empty available homes of 54,981 in Miami Dade, Broward and West Palm Beach Alone.
