Let’s go back to the  book of Genesis 1:26,28; God let’s us know that he gave dominion and authority to us. We are made in the image and likeness of God. God gives without repentance(Romans 11:29). When God gives, he does not take it back; that’s why God is a righteous and just God.

Keeping the previous scriptures in mind; Adam caused all of us to be born in sin because of what he did in the garden of Eden. Because Adam gave up dominion to Satan; we had to regain authority and dominion; that’s where Jesus came in.

Jesus was born from a woman, so he can be human. He was placed in Mary’s uterus by the Holy Spirit. Jesus could not be born from sin because he was and is the spotless lamb of God. Please keep in mind that Jesus was not forced to be the lamb for redemption, he chose to.

So why is it when we pray, we have to say in the name of Jesus? Jesus was human because he was born of a human woman. God gave humans dominion and authority. Jesus gives God the legal right to step in when we pray. God is not going to tell humans to take dominion and take it back because we messed up. God stands by his word. That’s why we pray in the name of Jesus. We are telling God to step in.
