A Kingly Decree

Many Americans are not familiar with how kingdoms work. I was one of those Americans. I did not have a clue. But when I started reading the bible, and God gave me a revelation on how a kingdom is suppose to work; I was shocked and surprised. I was in other words, amazed! Kingdoms have ranks or levels of authorative rein. While reading about the different kings in the bible; I found out that when a decree was made by a king and his insignia was place on the decree, it could not be changed. When a decree was made,…

We Have All Fallen Short.

We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. When we try to do things out of our own flesh and not include Christ Jesus. Romans 3:9-18(KJV). 9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no,…

Chastise, Yes or No?

We've noticed that many parents are letting their kids get away with a lot of things. Many kids today are losing respect for others and they think that it is amusing. Women, children need to be trained up properly and it takes love, patience and consistency. Many times, we as Christians, allow our kids to behave the way the world behaves or how the world says it's acceptable to behave. Remember the bible states in Romans 12:2 (KJV),"2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what…

Knowing Our Place

Ephesians 2:6 (KJV). "6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:" I asked God. Why was the word "made" used in the verse above? That's a peculiar word to use. So, I looked in the Merriam Webster dictionary- someone has the right qualities to be or to do something. We have the right qualities to be or to do something. That is very interesting. Also, notice that made is in past tense. My natural follow up question to God; what are the right qualities? Ezekiel 36:26 (KJV). "26 A new heart…

The Colors of The Rainbow.

*Warning Many People WILL NOT like this post.* Most of us has had the experience; either with our mothers or our fathers, when they have told us not to do something and we thought they did not know what they were talking about. In the end, we found out our parents were protecting us and we should have listened in the first place. I am mother to one child on this earth, but a sister to many in Christ Jesus. What I am saying, comes from the word of God and with only love in my heart. Genesis 9:12-17 (NLT).…

Fasting

Isaiah 58 Many times we fast and not understand what we are doing. Fasting is meant to crucify the flesh. We ask God to reveal to us what we need to change about ourselves. Some of us like to fast and pray about other people. There is nothing wrong with praying and fasting for others, but lets add ourselves. We are made perfect through Jesus Christ, who is our atonement covering. When we fast lets not only look at others weakness but also our own. Isaiah 58:4 (NLT). "4 What good is fasting when you keep on fighting and quarreling?…

Exposing Satan part 2

I have heard many Christians say," My birthday is not important. Everyday is my birthday." Well according to the bible, each day is a gift from God, through grace. But our birthday is also very special. Not only does our birthday let us know how many years we have been on this earth, but also makes us realize how merciful God is. The fact that we always fall short and get discouraged and then blame God for our short comings. We think about how patient and merciful God is, even with our foolishness. I also use to be one of…

The Holy Temple

Luke 19:45-46 (KJV).45 And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;46 Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves. Not only was Jesus speaking to the merchants in the temple that were selling animal sacrifices that had defects and were not suitable for sacrifice; but the merchants were also using skewed scales that were cheating buyers out of there proper grain sacrifices. Imagine paying for something and being entitled to that thing and getting a…

We Have A Jealous God.

Exodus 34:14 (KJV). For thou shalt worship no other God: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. Mathew 22:37(KJV). Jesus said unto them, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. From the verses noted above; we can see that God does not want us putting anything or anyone before him. Why? Because he deserves all the  glory. He is the creator of all things and all things were made to glorify him. So why do we worship things God has created for us…

No More Pity Parties!

We all have friends that show concern for us when we go through difficult situations. And that can be a good thing... at times. Many times when we go through a difficult relationship; there are usually several kinds of people that try and console us. We have the people who gives us angry advice towards the other person. We have the people who cries with us and tell us they can't believe it. And then we have the ones that tell us, "forget that person, I never liked them in the first place." A lost of any kind can be…

Have We Lost Our Head?

Ephesians 5:23 ." For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body." (KJV) There are a couple of things to take note of in this verse. 1. The husband is supposed to be the head of the wife. 2. A comparative is being made between the husband and Christ. 3. Christ is the head of the church. (Not to start getting too deep, I will stick with only the 3 listed above.) Wow... wow, this is some powerful stuff here. Personally, I have never…

If Someone Prayed In the White House

If someone prayed in the White House, We would have a leader like David. Who was strong and fearless. If someone prayed in the White House, We would have a Secretary of Defense like Daniel. Who was quick, intelligent and foresaw disasters. If someone prayed in the White House, We would have a Department of Treasury like Solomon. Who was good with money and new exactly what and when to invest. If someone prayed in the White House, We would have a Vice President like Elisha. Who was trustworthy , faithful, and driven. IF we... IF we... If we were…

Speak No Good.

In Acts 4:18 reads, " And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus." The bible also has that the things we face are common to us. (1 Corinthians 10:13) At first these two scriptures appear to not have anything in common. First of all, it is very common to have people who blasphemes, curse, belittle, ignore, and call the name of Jesus in vain. These people will be around until Christ returns. There also will be people who force believers of Jesus Christ to not speak of him. Satan…

Barely Slipping By?

Most Christians know Romans 10:9, " That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Sometimes we take this verse and twist it into meaning something else. What do I mean by this statement, you might ask? I was speaking to someone I knew for a little while. He was telling me all the things he wants to do in life. Some of the things he said, made me ask him if he was saved. Well, he told me he…

Exposing Satan for One of His Many Lies.

Most of us know this very popular phrase. " Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me" Satan can be very clever. He will say some truth but there is always going to be lies mixed in. The fact is, sticks and stones may break our bones. But, here is the lie right behind the fact stated in the above phrase. Words will definitely hurt us. Some people might say, " I don't care what people say about me. It doesn't bother me at all." And if that is you, that's great. But words can…
