And None Should Lack…

As we can see in the book of Acts chapters 4 and 5; there was a time when the people of God did not lack. No not one of them lacked anything. Everyone had all they needed for their family. God wants us to this today for each other, but there other things at play today. One of the reasons why we are not able to reach that point of no lack; people in the body of Christ are selfish. When God tells us to do certain things, we ask God what about me. Have you ever asked God that question? I have asked God that question many times before.
Not to mention when God asks you to help someone out and that person you are helping, hurts you. Sometimes people in the body of Christ, will hurt you mentally, psychology and physically. Well we use that as a reason to be selfish. Some times we just do not trust God. We do not believe that God can do what he said he can. If we want to get to the place of no lack, we not only have to pray for yourselves first. Why? The Holy spirit will reveal to us everything that needs to change. We have to replace the bad with good(fruits of the spirit, Galatians 5:22,23).
Then we have to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ. We have to find out what strongholds are keeping them bound. We have to pray against those strongholds. We have to ask God to soften their hearts to receive what God has asked us to do for them. My experience is, it will not always be easy to accomplish. Have patience.
Remeber our goal is to come in unity of Christ Jesus. Which brings me to another point. We need to stop trying to build our church membership and start building the body of Christ. You are not the only Apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher. God said he will give is spirit to all who ask. Our goal is that none should lack , but all should be one in Christ Jesus. The bible says it is better to give than to receive.
You might be saying that you have given and you have helped. Let me tell you what God told me. Give some more.
When we hold our hands tight to not give, our hands also can not receive. I know, I know. It is hard to give when others are holding back, but trust God and see him work it all out for you. I am not writing this as some far off teaching. I am writing this from first hand experience.

My challenge for you today is to ask God, who does he want you to bless today. God will let you know. God said it, “none will lack”.
