Under The Heavy Weight of Religion?

First lets define religion.

Middle English (originally in the sense ‘life under monastic vows’): from Old French, or from Latin religio(n-) ‘obligation, bond, reverence,’ perhaps based on Latin religare ‘to bind.’ a particular system of faith and worship.a pursuit or interest to which someone ascribes supreme importance.
Religion incorporates culture and tradition which is meant to bind and put you under unattainable obligations.
Don’t believe me, let’s pull up some scriptures.
Mark 7:2-9(KJV).”2 And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.3 For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.4 And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
Matthew 12:1-8(KJV).”1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
Jews had the commandments. The commandments are perfect in and of themselves. The commandments were given so the Israelites(Jews)praying knew what was wrong. Remember, if one commandment was broken, all were broken. Seeing that the Israelites were not able to keep the commandments; Jesus had to come and fulfill the requirements of the law, so we could be free.
*Note* Jesus came and fulfilled ALL the laws.
The non Jews (gentiles) were idol worshippers. Gentiles did whatever they wanted. Idols are deaf and dumb. They can not hear or answer us. Idols were used to conjure up demonic spirits. So, it is quit obvious why the gentiles needed Jesus. The bible states, the wages of sin is death. Jesus did not want all of us to die, so he made a conscious and deliberate decision to deliver us.
There are many religions in the world. Religions are meant to keep Gods people in bondage. I don’t care what kind of religion it is. I can pick out some prominent religions out there that are just demonic, and there are many of them. If you are in a religion, you must try your absolute best to read the bible for yourself. The bible tells us to test every spirit. We must make sure the spirit is from God and not elsewhere. Religiosity stripes us away from grace and places us back under the law.
Please family be careful out there. We love you and God loves you. If this word of God has helped you. Please, we encourage you to sow into this ministry. To donate click here.
