Fully Armoured!

Ephesians 6:13-17 (KJV).”13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Now, let’s break down the scripture above.

Verse 13. The word “take”. Take is a verb (an action word). Take means to get into one’s hands or into one’s possession, power, or control.

Verse 13. The word “withstand”. Withstand means to support oneself on the feet in an erect (alert, watchful) position. Strong’s Concordance- properly take a complete stand.

How are we to be ready? What do we need to have against the enemy and be successful? We need to have on the full armour of God.

Verse 14. What does the bible mean to have loins girt about with truth? Truth surrounds the loins (reproductive area). Future generations come from the reproductive organs. Attack at the loins affects future generations, or could also eliminate future generations. 1Corinthians 6:18-18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. Sin against our own body and reproductive organs. Why the breastplate of righteousness? Righteousness means to be just in the eyes of God ; approved by God. Acting in accordance with divine or moral law (love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, soul mind and strength and love your neighbors as you love yourself; Mark 12:30,31): free from guilt or sin. Romans 8:1-1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 2Corinthians 5:21-21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
