At some point in our lives women; we have to come to this point in our relationships. When we ask ourselves, ” Is he worth it?” Is he worth the sleepless nights? Is he worth the tears most of the time? Is he worth my joy? Is he worth my peace? Is he worth more than my family? Is he worth my health? And more importantly, is he worth my relationship with my father God through Jesus Christ?
At a point in my life when I recommitted myself to God through Jesus Christ; I had to ask myself these questions. I realized that my relationship was not the one God had planned for me. How did I realize, you ask. From reading the word of God. Talking to God and seeking him for his answer. I was tired. For years my insides felt like something was wrong but I ignored it, to believe a lie from a man who only cared about himself. When I first started talking, praying and seeking God, I found out that I might not always understand why God wanted me to stop doing certain things. I decided to trust God in all his infinite wisdom, instead of a man. The bible says the flesh lusteth against the spirit. (Galatians 5:17) Our flesh desires certain things and our spirit need to keep connected to God. I like to think of it as tug of war. The flesh on one end and the spirit on the other, always pulling to go different ways. It is our decision. Do we want false temporary happiness or do we want real pure infinite happiness. I choose and I have not turned back since. I want the same for all women.
It might feel difficult at first to change but it is possible. In fact the bible says all things are possible through Christ who strengthens me. God promises us love, joy, peace, and much more if we turn to him. Why, why do we throw it all back in God’s face for a man that might not be for us. Do we really love ourselves? Do we really believe that we are worth happiness? I know you are worth it, even if you might not believe it yourself.
