I was talking to my father ( God). I asked him. Why do we as children, have a good idea of what me want in a man when we grow up? But then, something happens, we lose or we forget what we want. I don’t know if situations or relationship experienced or learned, that makes us change. Maybe it’s the fact that we sometimes get so desperate, that we take anything, just to say we are married. Many of our children notice the things some famous people are doing. Some of the famous people are not good examples for our kids, women… or ourselves. I could remember when I was a young child, I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted in a husband. But when I got around 20 years old; I got bored and wanted something to do. That was a bad decision. I decided to get into a relationship, I was not prepared for. The constant lies and manipulations, were not worth it. Things did not turn out the way I hoped and I lost sight and focus on God. Since I was not spending time with God, daily; I could not get directions from him. I can not erase the past, but I can refocus  my life and trust God now. We can refocus our lives, women. We can spend time getting to know ourselves. We can learn to really love ourselves.

The question I’d like us to think about from now on; when we want to compromise. How much of my joy, peace, tears, energy, hope and strength, are we willing to give up?  Yes many of us want to get married. But, is possibly marrying the wrong man worth it?  How many nights do we want to put aside for tears? Some of us stay up at night looking at that man we rushed in and married, lying next to us, and say ….Oh God, WHY?
